Mrs. Brown’s and Mrs. Minford’s classes are working to save Fred the Worm. By only using paper clips, they have to get him from his boat into the lifesaver. They’re using great teamwork and problem solving skills.



Mrs.Langham’s classes had a Zoom meeting with Sarah Slade, children’s author. They discussed the process of writing a book.

Highland Elementary is supporting Danielle Cares for Chairs. This organization recycles bread tags for money. The money is used to purchase wheelchairs and other mobility devices for those who need them. Please send your bread tags to Highland Elementary! There is great information on their website. Check it out!

Our textile contest has begun! This 3-day weekend would be a great time to clean out those closets. Please support Highland Elementary by placing your old clothing, curtains and bedding in the bins at the 4-Diamonds. What cannot be reused is recycled into insulation and other materials.

Ms. Guse’s class works on a puzzle of the continents. They were figuring out how they fit together before the continents split.

Please donate your used textiles to the green and white bins at the 4 Diamonds. Acceptable items include clothes, shoes, linens, hats, purses, and towels. We appreciate your help!
