Girls on the Run concluded today with a celebration. Victoria Potter, member of the Highland Animal Shelter board, was on hand to accept a $425 donation from the girls.


Congratulations to all the Girls on the Run participants for completing the 5k yesterday in the rain! Families and Running Buddies are encouraged to help us celebrate on Tuesday. We’ll have a short celebration and awards ceremony from 3:30-4:00 in the auditorium.


Just a reminder that school will be dismissed at 11:45 A.M. on Friday, May 10.

Girls on the Run practice 5k Color Run was a success. We’re ready for Saturday!





We are looking for volunteers to help with our Girls on the Run 5k Color Run on Tuesday. We need people to help at major intersections, the water station and at the color stations. Please email sbrauns@highlandcusd5.org if you are available to help. It will take place from 3:30-approximately 4:30.

HE and HP are currently in shelter due to the weather. We will remain there until an all clear is called. Please be patient as we keep your child safe. At this time we will not be realizing students or putting them on the bus. Thank you for your patience.

Mrs. Langham’s and Mrs. Cotto’s classes visited Rolling Farms Milk House and Marcoot’s Jersey Creamery today. They watched the process of bottling milk, the milking process and how cheese is made.



Thanks to all who supported the PTO’s hat fundraiser. We saw a lot of fun hats!



HE families brought in 535 lbs of aluminum for our can drive today. Thank you!
