Family Reading Night was a lot of fun!






Highland Elementary families, please join us for Family Reading Night on Thursday night (Sept. 28). The book fair will be open from 6:00-8:00, and family activities will take place from 6:30-7:30.


There is only one week left in the Battle of the Schools Textile Contest! If you haven't cleaned out those closets yet, you have until September 30 to get your donations into the bins. The green and white bins are located across the street at the 4 Diamonds. Thank you!

Three of our former students are getting ready for middle school this week by attending the SIUE Percussion Camp with Mr. Gindler.




Congratulations to Jakob B for winning the Jill Frey Memorial Leadership Award. Jakob displays positive leadership with his peers, has excellent character and is a hard worker. He is a fifth grader in Mrs. Cotto's class.


Congratulations to our 2023 retirees: Mrs. Ford, Mrs. Ashby, Mrs. Durbin and Mrs. Limmer. Thank you for your many years of service. You will all be greatly missed! Don't forget to come back and visit!

Congratulations to our wonderful PE teachers and student teachers on another successful Olympics. We had perfect weather all 3 days and so much fun in every event. We appreciate their hard work and organization. A big congratulations to Mrs. Durbin who completed her last Olympics of her career. We are so grateful to her dedication and service to our students all these years. She will be greatly missed!
