HHS Athletics- IHSA Fall Sports begin Monday, August 9.
Athletes must register on the HHS Athletics website at https://sites.google.com/highlandcusd5.org/hhsathletics/sports-registration
Must have a current sports physical and COVID-19 Waiver within the last 395 days to out.

Freshman Day- 9th graders are invited to attend on Tues., Aug 10, from 9:30-11:15 AM
Students receive schedules, tour the building, and learn about school life at HHS.
Event is for students only and put on by Counselors, Admin, and Student Ambassadors.
- Masks are recommended for students attending this event. District officials are reviewing the Return to Learn Plan that was sent on July 29. Updates to the plan regarding mitigations and guidelines will be provided when finalized later this week.
HHS Open House is scheduled for Tuesday, August 17 from 5:30-6:30 pm at HHS.
- Students and parents are encouraged to attend to meet teachers, visit classrooms, and walk schedules.
- Open House is an informal come-and-go event with no set schedule for the evening.
- School Supply lists for HHS students will be provided by teachers at Open House or during the first week of school. Students typically need pens, pencils, notebooks, folders, and a few specialty items that teachers will share (Scientific Calculator for math/science, binders, art supplies, etc.) A notebook and a pen or pencil for the first day are a good idea.
- PE UNIFORMS-Grey T-Shirt with name on the back (Either printed or with a marker) and black athletic shorts are required. PE teachers will offer more details when school begins. Students can use their shirts from HMS as well if they chose
