March is "Music in Our Schools Month"! Help us celebrate the beautiful music our band and choir students make by joining us at the Pops Concert on Thursday, March 13th at 7 PM in the HHS Gym. Students will perform hits from Broadway musicals.


A HUGE congratulations to senior Griffin Odom! Today, the Meridian Scholarship committee surprised him at lunch, and Griffin found out that he has received a full scholarship to SIUE. Way to go, Griffin!

HHS Dissonance Show Choir had a Competition at Glenwood High School this past weekend. It was the last competition of the year.
The solo competition had 4 of our seniors preforming and out of 60 students a big CONGRATULATIONS TO FIRST PLACE SOLOIST, Katyann Rodriguez !!!










Highland High School attended the first inaugural Career and Technical Education Showcase held by Madison County CTE and SWIC. Mason Frank and Braxdon Decker competed as a team in the Journeyman Division of the Carpentry Competition while Trent Hediger and Jaden Offermann competed in the Welding MFG Model Fabrication competition. Mason and Braxdon placed first in their area. We are awaiting official placings for Trent and Jaden. All four boys represented the HHS Construction Trades and Welding classes extremely well.

Foods and nutrition classes have been learning piping techniques with buttercream. They are doing a fabulous job for their first time working with a piping bag and coupler!





It's time to pre-register for Kindergarten at Highland Community Schools!
If your child is turning 5 years old, on or before Sept 1, 2025, they are eligible for Kindergarten in the 25/26 school year.

Scholastic Bowl competed at the Masonic Academic tournament at Granite City High School today. In this round robin style event, HHS battled 6 teams on the day. Carbondale earned 1st overall and the Bulldogs finished within 50 points of 1st place. Post season matches are right around the corner.
