Highland Elementary Dawg runners came to run with the HMS cross country team today. We happened to run into the HS team practicing. Turned out to be a great day for Highland runners. So awesome to see so many grade levels together.
I bet you didn't know you had some amazing young theatrical talent in 6th grade. Your students retold the ancient story of the "Epic of Gilgamesh." They went above and beyond with costumes, props, and some outstanding acting skills. It was pretty cool how "into" it the kids were. Audiences in the classes were super respectful, and there were some students that absolutely shocked me on how outgoing they were. Here are a couple pics to put a smile on ya.
HMS Recipe Book -- HMS is excited to bring a new opportunity to our HMS Family. Our plan is to create a HMS Recipe Book, with recipes from our HMS Faculty and Staff, along with our HMS Family -- our students and their family members and friends. The process to submit recipes is online and very simple to do. If you are interested in helping us create a great recipe book, please follow the information at the bottom of this email. We truly appreciate all you help in this endeavor. If all goes well, we will have them up for sale in October, with delivery of the books right before Christmas. There will be a separate email with order forms attached. Thank you for all your help and support, and we looking forward to creating our HMS Recipe Book with all of you. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Kateri Odle at kodle@highlandcusd5.org

If you have any questions please let her know.
