Team 6 Black Super Six Awards for March
The HMS Student Council would like to complete one more community service project before the end of the school year. We have chosen to participate in a food drive called "Food For Families", which benefits families in all of Madison County. We are especially excited, because our donations will go directly to the HACSM, our local food pantry. Last year, the drive collected over 17,100 pounds of food, with many local schools participating. Their goal this year is to collect 25,000 pounds of food, and we are excited to try to help them achieve this goal. Students may donate any of the items below and/or monetary donations. Food products are weighed, while each dollar donated equals a pound of food. This is our second year participating in the event, we do not have a set goal, but we are excited to find out what we can raise for this wonderful program. We are going to run this as an advisory competition from April 1st - 24th. The winning advisory, the one with the most weight collected, from each grade level will receive a pizza party. A huge thank you to The Highland Arts Council who donated this beautiful piece of artwork to Highland Middle School! We love it! It is located near our gym. Don’t forget to check it out when you come to one of our events at HMS.

We are excited to announce that we will be adding a new feature to our Glow Dance this Friday -- a photo booth!! The Fete Photo Booth takes pictures and then sends them to you via your phone or email, so you can easily share and/or print them. If you wish to participate in the photo booth, we will collect $2.00 at the door and stamp your hand, which will give you access to unlimited pictures throughout the event. We have attached some pictures from these photo booths, so you can see the excellent memories that are captured of your evening.
